WASHINGTON - Gov. Bill Richardson is concerned that some of his phone calls were monitored by a U.S. spy agency and transcripts of them were given to the president's nominee for ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton.
Richardson called Sen. Chris Dodd, a Connecticut Democrat, to express his concerns after Dodd revealed that Bolton had on 10 occasions asked the National Security Agency for the intercepts of phone conversations involving Americans.
An online journalist then speculated that Richardson's conversations with former Secretary of State Colin Powell and another U.S. official about North Korea might have been among Bolton's requests.

Odd News Ping
Gov. Richardson thinks that he is important enough to be monitored. Sounds more like he just wants his name in the papers any way that he can.
He was probably talking with Powell the RINO about how to undermine Bush and his foreign policies.
What do you expect? He's a friend of Hillary's, isn't he? He has obviously not only learned how to whine but to finely focus his paranoia on the horrific Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.
The rest of the article is actually funny in that it has accusations that would make Art Bell say, "your are a little 'out there', aren't you?"
I want to know why Powell is talking to a man who was part of an administration that did noting on terrorism and nuke proliferation.
Why should he get any special privelege and be immune from American law?
What petty much-raking this is....
Hey, Petty Muckracking is Richardson's middle name!
Perhaps Richardson wasn't the target.
If You are particular about what You say, You never need worry about being overheard.
When I read the article last night prior to posting, it appeared that The Guv is looking for attention. His accusations are based upon speculation and wild guessing. Maybe he is trying to convince people that he is still relevant.
Hmm...I know, Richardson had the perfect strategy with which to defeat Bolton. If only Richardson could relay the strategy to Dodd, then Bolton would be defeated. But if Bolton intercepted the strategy, then he could well be on the way to confirmation. It's too bad that Richardson isn't putting more energy into being governor of New Mexico, though.
Why would he want to put effort into the governor gig when can spend his time making crack-head accusations? He is a Clinton crapweasel, after all.
