Enough is Enough
The Beginning
As the years go by and the costs rise, it becomes evident that the "American System" has failed. For 80 years America operated by a system of checks and balances the most powerful of these were the American people. A people who knew that government was at their service, they were the masters not the other way around. The a war happend, a war so terrible that nearly a million American died, The War of Northern Agression. In this war government took its first stab at controling liberties and citisens by force and death. With the war the government became consolidated and our Constitution suffered its first defeat. What happened between 1860-75 only marked the beginning of what was to come.
Over the next 100 years the government slowly grew in strength and American citisens became more and more "comfortable" with the way things had changed. The next slap the Constitution took that really made us stand up a take a look around happend between 1930-51. This was an era of unabated government growth, however people needed help, we just came out of 2 world wars and a depression; what could the average working man do but take handouts from the government simply to help him make it through the week. After WWII we saw that big government meant the "promise" of prosperity and social reform. It ment that more jobs would be created and our future would be taken care of by a new programme called Social Security. But this dream only lasted 10 short years.
The Downfall
With the Vietnam War (1961-72) came an unnecessary war and draft that cost this nation over 50,000 of its young people. After the war we became more aware of how corrupt our government was and of how far we had strayed from the constitutional foundation of our nation. Millions rallied and fought to reel in the government , but it was too late, we had lost our voice. As the turbulent years of the 60's and 70's came to a close we realized that the American Republic was dead and that it had died at the end of The War of Northern Agression. We saw that America had been remade and now we kived in a nation ruled by those whom we did not elect and we saw that our lives were no longer our own. After the social flap that occured in 1960-79 had ended people went on about their buisness trying not to make to many waves. Our morals wavered and soon fell. With the end of the Cold War our nation emerged victorious but we had lost many of our civil liberties snd our moral compass. Now we find ourselves a godless nation ruled by 9 unelected people in a city of theives and murderers. A nation of nearly 300 million with fewer that 500 representatives, a police state to the world and to its citisens.
As we have seen during and after each major war the federal government seizes more control and our Constitution is dragged across 1600 Penn. Ave. We have seen through this little history lesson our Republis made baree and a Police Stare born. With the horrors of war gone th leviathan comes to reap the benefits, our money, our liberties and our children. All in the name of national security. Now we see oursleves facing an old foe in a new light.
After the election of 2000 came one of the most horrific events in American history, Spet. 11. We saw 3,000 fellow Americans slaughtered in the name of a pagen god and a side of humanity we hadn't seen sence Vietnam and Rawanda. But as bad as all that was we still had no idea that we would the weapon of choice, that we would be the pawns in some war between the rich and godless. After 9/11 we set forth to punish the murderers so declared war, however as so ofter occures the federal government goes overboard. They sent us to fight an unknown enemy, with no borders and unlimited knowledge of guerrilla warfare. They set our battle lines not between nations but between good and evil. Then after our sons and daughters began to die the government came after us with the so called Patriot Act. They have our taxes, education, children, and much of our "truth" now they wanted our God given rights.
Enough
The United States of America has over the past 220+ years shown that, it as an entity, has no regard for human life born or unborn or the foundations upon which it was built. Taxation, war, illegal activities, uncontrolled immigration, lack of morality and the idea the we are nothing more than servents to its will has made America the scourge of the world and to its own people. The government derives its power from the consent of the governed, we control it, not the other way around. The federal government has constantly taken for granted the fact that most Americans don't care. Now in this time, we hear of rumors that America shall invade Iran and that a draft could be here by the end of 2005. I say enough is enough!
It is time we take back this country, we the people are the rulers, we are not the ruled! By our consent does the government function, and we must now in the name of self-preservation and Constitutional liberty withdarw our consent from the government.
As I laid out ,in part, in my letter entitled The End we are now at a point where if we don't make a stand we shall o longer exist. It is our right, our right from God above and the laws of this nation. How can we stand by and watch our rights be stripped away, wow can we allow our children to be taught that they are nothing more than an accident? Withdraw your consent.
How? First let your elected official know that if he or she does not OBEY you they will be without work come next election. Next VOTE, not just for who you think will win but for the person who will uphold the Constitution and defend you, not send you to die. Next simply say NO. Force the issue of God and Creation at school board meetings, force the Ten Commandments back in your couthouses, force your rights and heritage. And Finally push for a restricted federal government, rally in the streets and make your voice be heard, they have no choice but to listen.
Democaracy and freedom are preserved not by war or killing but by citisens standing up against tyranny.

The peculiar part is that these guys seem unable to recognize that there was no option of maintaining the US as it was prior to 1861.
The options were:
1. Let the Union dissolve. It is likely that the ongoing tensions and likely wars this would have led to would have themselves resulted in a growth of government, in both countries.
2. Fight and win a war for the Union. Unfortunately, doing so effectively necessitated major modifications to the old highly-limited system of government.
I'll take option 2, as the lesser of two weevils.

There was no reason for that war to occur.
Nothing in the Consitution prevents secession, and the federal troops were occupying Fort Sumter illegally
However, what these people should be doing is trying to find someone who will challenge that snake Sonny Perdue in the primary

Maybe it is the teacher in me rearing its head, but it bugs me when a published article has so many mistakes in it.
