KY on Fox???
Posted on 06/29/2005 8:26:17 AM PDT by Scarchin
Okay - I'm a teacher on vacation and watching Fox news.
It's 11:00 in the morning and an ad comes on for "KY massage and personal lubricant." The husband lights up when the wife says "personal lubricant" and she says it again at the end of the ad and winks. There is a clear sexual tone to the ad.
Is it me or is this out of bounds?
Anyone else see it?
I'm calling FOX and I'll post what happens.

Are you claiming your 3 year old understands what a "personal lubricant" is? LOL
To: Scarchin
I've seen the ad and I thought they did a good job with being subtle. People who would know what is used for, get it. Those who don't (kids), don't.

It's a heck of a lot more tasteful than just about anything you see on MTV or especially daytime soaps.

How about talking about this to a 9 year old girl? I'm not laughing.

It's par for the course. I'll scream if I see another one of those "Male Performance" ads.

Even though it is clearly sexual, why do you consider this to be out of bounds?

This ad has been on a long time. It's actually pretty amusing and pretty tastefully done. I would rather see that than a condom ad.

I recently heard my kids (son 7 and daughter 10) singing the theme to a commercial you hear on just about every radio station...TROJAN MAN!!!
I about fell off my chair...
What has this world come to!?!?!?

Tell me about it. I tried "personal lubricant" on my screen door. It didn't work as well as WD-40.

Fox recently began broadcasting in Canada.....maybe the adv is in response to the gay marriage law they passed in Canada yesterday?

I think the pepto ads where they do the macarena-like dance is pretty damn bad.

As I said in another post, would you like to explain the ad to your 9 year old? Part of my point is that it's 11 am here.
