April 20, 2005 2:15 pm Re: Woman Found Shot to Death, Composite Sketch of Suspect Released
The Los Alamitos Police Department has for release a sketch of a suspect that was reported being seen exiting the rear apartment window of the victims apartment. A neighbor/witness reported seeing a male, white, 20 years old wearing black clothing exit the window of the apartment. The witness worked with a police sketch artist to develop the composite drawing.
At about 6:35 pm on April 18, 2005, Los Alamitos Police Officers responded to a report of shots heard in the 4300 block of Howard Avenue. Officers located an open rear window at 4384 Howard. Officers entered and found the victim had been shot multiple times. She was pronounced dead at the scene by members of the Orange County Fire Authority. The victim has been identified as Maria Del Refugio Aguilar, DOB: 12-16-72.
The investigation is continuing at this time, anyone who may have information regarding the incident may contact Detective Sergeant Rick DeLeon at (562) 431-2255 ext. 438 or Detective Ken Sayles at (562) 431-2255 ext. 488.
For a copy of the composite sketch please contact Sergeant Jeff Travis at (562) 431-2255 ext. 416. A copy may be obtained at the Los Alamitos Police Station or via e-mail.

You're quick!
You're both quick!
Y'all 'er quick!
the perp is so COMMON looking .. looks like he could easily get lost in a crowd. Good luck with finding him so your family can see justice done. So sad for your sister-in-law and her husband and children .. your entire family.
Looks a little like Elvis with a flat top.
Really !! I read the article and hoped there'd be a composite sketch ... and as it came on my screen he looked just TOO familiar. Of course, I live on the E. Coast, so am thousands of miles away, but really it could be any kid in any of our neighborhoods. Creep.
ROFL! That is soooooo Cute!
What was the caliber of the gun used?
please accept my sympathies. I am sorry some on this thread took it as an occasion for flippancy.
