I'm surprised she didn't ask "Who's Mary?".

Is this what Matt Lauer asks Katie Couric when he wants to play dress-up?

Leave off the question mark and he could have spelled it correctly. He's much at planning or problem solving. Hope she has the brains in the family and a nice inheritance.

Mueller's father, Tom, twice used fieldwork to send romantic messages to his wife, Diane

Oh, give the guy a break, he comes from a romantic family.

The gravestone for James Fennimore Cooper's wife contains, on the penultimate line of a poem, the word "grteful" with a caret and an "a" stuck in. Boy that would stink to be carving and get to the "t" and realize "oops" [it's a really big stone].

As for the extant case, I won't know whether he carved the letters in order, or if he did them in some other sequence. Otherwise I'd agree that leaving off the question mark would be a better idea than leaving off an "R".
