I agree. I had to evacuate for Rita and lord it was a zoo at my sister's house. She had two weimaramers, I had a GSD and a yellow lab, my cousin had a basset cross, and a friend from NOLA had a jack russell terrier who thought he was the big boss in charge. They figured out their pecking order and behaved well for the most part because they all were inside during the storm. There is no way I would have left them behind.

Thanks for the ping, slings. I am so glad to hear that they have not given up hope. So many good people have already rescued so many trusting, loving little souls.
It breaks my heart to think that there are still animals waiting for help. I cannot understand how people could leave their pets, NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCES.
And those people in the story with the doberman will definitely go to hell. Good responsible people would never do such a thing, and it is telling about how they live their daily lives that they would treat an innocent in such a way. A pox on their house.
