At age 60, Rod Stewart is a father again.

His fiancee, Penny Lancaster, gave birth to a baby boy early Sunday morning at a London hospital, the couple announced Monday. The baby, who is their first child, weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces.

"Both Penny and our baby son are gorgeous, healthy and doing well," Stewart said in a statement. "I am so very proud of my girl Pen for the commitment, courage and strength she showed throughout."

Lancaster, a 34-year-old model/photographer, said the birth "was the most empowering and spiritual experience of my life."

"It means so much to Rod and I that we were able to keep to our birthing plan and have our baby naturally," she said.

The family is now back at their home in Epping, England. "We are celebrating every moment with our beautiful boy, we just can't take our eyes off of him, Stewart said.

Ewww is right! I wonder how excited old man Rod is about changing stinky diapers and getting puked on with baby barf! And wait till the kid starts finger painting with poo! How cute will that be? He's harmless enough now, but just wait a couple of years.....lol!
God, please don't let the poor child look like him! Ewwww!

Yeah - if I was a new dad at 60, I'd probably shoot myself.

I see he still has that exact same hair style after all these years. Perhaps he should consider updating it a bit. (I guess he's lucky he still has hair though)

I watched a show on VH1 about the children of rock stars. One funny segment was when his daughter was asked what does Rod Stewarts daughter remember the most about when people found out she was his daughter. Her reply was people saying, Eww , your dads a fag.

Talk?

Men don't want a woman they can talk to (at least that's the message I get around here ;) )

Could be a rug for all we know...although it is funny his hair was exactly the same in the circa 1984 "Infatuation" video...(I was watching VH1 Classic the other night...)

Wouldn't be my first choice of a rug (or my fiftieth), but maybe that's his strategy, "His hair looks so ridicules no one would possibly pick that as a rug..."

"Oh how cute, a boy who at 14 will have a father to old and decrepit to kick the ball around or take him skiing."

Considering he chose to be a rock singer when he was being scouted to play professional soccer that will be a double hurt.
