1. Find the weakness in Florida. Go ahead. I'll wait
2. Billy Donovan has been here before. Ben Howland has not.
3. Banners don't win championships, players do Tradition is a valuable thing to have on your side in the banter between fans. But UCLA's 11 national championships won't help the Bruins one iota come tipoff Monday.
4. Florida has had the stronger tournament run
5. UCLA used up all its good karma escaping Gonzaga The Bruins' desperate scramble to score the final 11 points of the game and extricate themselves from near-certain defeat was the Rally of the Year. 6. Balance Florida has five players averaging double figures for the season. And for the postseason. And for the NCAA Tournament.
7. Layups, dunks and Lee Humphrey That's been Donovan's offensive mantra this NCAA Tournament. The Gators are pounding it inside, driving hard to the basket, getting high-percentage shots ... or kicking it to Humphrey
8. Corey Brewer: matchup trouble The 6-foot-8 Brewer has had a great Tournament, averaging 14.4 points and making 50 percent of his 3-point shots. He killed George Mason Saturday night, and he'll be a handful for UCLA as well.
9. The Bruins don't want to run with Florida
10. Florida doesn't mind grinding with the Bruins .
11. This is not a dance team mismatch Yes, UCLA's dance team is a No. 1 seed -- one of the strongest No. 1s in recent memory. Wow.
12. Scratching the 10-year title itch It's been a decade since Florida won the national title it most cares about, in football.
20. It's Florida's time It's time for the worshipers of the pointed ball to realize what can happen with the round one. Florida 65, UCLA 59.

This one is a good read though. Quite a bit left out for excerpting.
Ping!
Is that tournament STILL going on?!
Just a few hours left and we can all get back to that wonderous CBS programing. Ha!
Gators whould wear Microsoft logos on their uniforms. I don't know of any winning sports franchise that is so thoroughly hated.
Maybe the old Yankees.
Edddie Munster will use his sister to distract the UCLA players.
Winning being the operative word. UF is in the top 5 All Sports every year if they aren't # 1, so lots of teams get beaten by them. It still seems that more people hate Duke in Basketball than they do anything else, but maybe thats just me.
Hey, I see a Tarheel made it to the thread. Actually, if I were at the game, I'd prolly be mighty distracted by that UCLA Danceteam. Yikes, those are some attractive ladies!
Taurean Green and Humphrey are the keys. Limit the turnovers and hit the threes and the Gators should be fine.
71-67 Florida.
Go Gators!
Bless you friend. See previous post...great minds or whatever. ;^)
Winning does gather some hostility, but I suspect Florida's distinction goes back to Spurrier and his personality.
I had UCONN beating UCLA in the finals.
Most of the hatred goes back to the old Head Ball Coach.
Speaking of Spurrier, he deserves a lot of credit for Florida's basketball program being where it is. Most schools football and basketball programs go against each other, but Spurrier helped Donovan in the early years with recruiting.
True. The post players should play about even and the Florida perimeter guys should have the edge.
I hate to admit it, but here in FR before the tournament started, I did pick UCLA to win it all. :(
I sure do feel much better about this game, then I did back in 2000 against Michigan State.
I'm an equal opportunity hater when it comes to the Yankees...
Young, old...doesn't matter.
I hate the Yankees..period.
