Singer testifies on son's behalf in homicide trial

Singer Chaka Khan testified in court Thursday that her son, who stands accused of killing his friend, is a gentle, kind and compassionate man who she thinks accidentally shot the 17-year-old boy.
In a flared jacket and wearing her hair big, Khan, who testified under her real name, Yvette Stevens, also said she believed Christopher Bailey could have survived if the police had let emergency medical workers enter her Westchester home sooner.

Never jab a friend with an M-16.More importantly, don't lie to the police about what happened, and don't fabricate evidence in an attempt to exonerate yourself. If your attempts to obstruct the investigation are discovered, it makes you look rather guilty.

He allegedly stole from our young hero, allegedly stole his bike, and allegedly "slept" with his girlfriend (mother of his child) and was coming over with two thugs to see him but the gun went off accidently. Yeah, right. Chalka one up to stupidity.
