This is the book jacket for Thomas D. Kuiper's 'I've Always Been a Yankees Fan: Hillary Clinton in Her Own Words,' one of many books about Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton. For someone who insists she is only thinking about her re-election campaign this year, Clinton has attracted the attention of conservative authors offering a host of new books aiming to slow her path to the White House. aiming to slow her path to the White House.

Ummm....no.... slowing her path would imply she still gets there one day. I'd prefer she never gets there. I'm hardly alone.

As a child, she attended Cubs games at Wrigley Field in Chicago with her father and brothers. Last year, she was invited to Wrigley Field to throw out the first ball of the Cubs' 1994 season

At least she doesn't look too bad in the picture....the cap and dark glasses hide most of her ugly face.

"There was some confusion that I was a Chicago Cubs fan," said Hillary, "just because I grew up in Chicago and have been photographed wearing a Cubs' baseball cap. Then during the election campaign in New York for the Senate, people criticized me for switching my allegiance to the Yankees, just because I said I'd always been a Yankees fan and posed for photographs in a Yankees basketball cap."

But now that the Democratic Presidential field is struggling, with no one clear candidate emerging, and with Florida being a swing state in any Presidential election, Hillary says that she has "realized I have always been a Florida Marlins fan, even as a little girl."

I'm a Yan-kee Base-ball Boost-er,
A Yan-kee Boost-er, do or die.
A real big fan of Joe Di-Mag-gi-o,
Born in Chi-ca-go, Il-li-nois.
I've got a Yan-kee Boost-er Club card,
Hon-est-ly, I hate the Cubs.
Hil-lar-y moved up to New York,
Just to run for Sen-ate.
I am a Yan-kee Base-ball gal.

If she said this after the Yankees last world series championship, it could be more effective than the "Curse of the Bambino". I don't recall the date of her quote.
