Whitney Houston Hangs Out with Cece Winans (Chance To Pray for a troubled soul)
EURweb.com ^ | 7/17/06

Whitney and CeCe were hanging out recently (June 30) in Nashville,TN. According to the Tennessean Newspaper the old girlfriends were seen dining at the Cheesecake Factory. Whitney also attended church services at Born Again Church with the singers.

The pair sang “Count on Me” on the Waiting to Exhale Soundtrack, a song that promised “a friendship that would never end.”

Houston is a “spiritual” person who sang in her church and whose mother Cissy was a past Gospel singer. Perhaps she continues to cling to her roots to fight drug addiction, which has been reported over the last several months to be at an all-time low.

Maybe Whitney was looking to count on an old friend for support during this perilous period of her life. CeCe’s publicist would not comment when asked if Winans was coming to Whitney’s rescue, but has stated that their time together was not business related (i.e., they are not talking about recording anything.)

Let’s hope that Houston’s hanging with CeCe is a sign of a positive change.

Like many of us, Whitney has made a boatload of bad choices; she's a talented, gifted woman who could be a lot better than she is today. Here's one FREEPer saying a prayer for her before its too late.

Celebrities, like everyone else, perhaps moreso, need prayers. I pray for her recovery, not only for her own sake, but because someone of her talent and stature has so much potential as a role model for others.

Ditto that - it's so sad to see the wreck she has made of her life. Hopefully some light can shine into her life and she can get back to a better place...

Bad news always sell. According to http://www.whitneyhouston.com/news/index.html all those bad report are false. Nice to hear she's hanging around good old buddy now born-again Christian. I'll not be surpised to see her perform at TBN soon!

maybe this story has to do w/Whitney's recent divorce news.

Let's hope this is a good sign...I saw those two sing a duet of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" for some awards show a few years back. It was one of the best renditions I've heard.

Thanks for the ping - I'm also hoping and praying Whitney can get straightened out. I always enjoyed her music and her voice, and thinking back to how much joy she had back in the 80's, it makes me sad to how much trouble she's had since then...

When's the Barbara Walters interview scheduled? Or does this call for Oprah?

She certainly squandered the best years of her life. So beautiful and so talented. I wish her well. If her voice still shines she may well come back.

Still get chills when I remember her singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl XXV in Tampa, 1991, just after the start of the air war and before the begining of the ground assaults.

Prayers for her, her family and the recovery of the great gift of voice that God gave her.

A day or two ago...apparently she filed papers. Let's see if it goes through.

Bobbie Brown just dragged her down the whole entire length of their married life! He's a loser and I hope she gets free of him fast...
