Berkley Breathed: Prophet before his time
UComics ^ | 09/22/2006 | Sensei Ern

13 years ago, Berkley Breathed prophecied that digital photograph would be used to alter photos reliability as fact. (Of course, a lot of people did, but just play along.)

Out of repsect for their copyright control, I direct you to the comic as a link: http://images.ucomics.com/comics/blm/1993/blm930822.gif

And, here is a link to the web page of U Comics: http://www.gocomics.com/bloomcounty/

You can read the lead in to this at this link: http://www.gocomics.com/bloomcounty/1993/08/15/

TOPICS:
KEYWORDS: berkleybreathed; bloomcounty; breathed; opus; whatkindofnameis
The man was and is a genius! He might be a little leftist leaning, but when his pen rolls its sarcasm, it is deitous revelation!

If that doesn't convince you, just ask Green Helmet Guy what he thinks.

Oh, come on! That is funny and you know it. It just happened to be the comic that U Comic posted today and I found it amazing that Berkley Breathed wrote about it 13 years before people would actually realize he was right.

I was looking for my sarcasm font for this ne wtopic, but I couldn't find it.

And who doesn't like Opus, especially when he morphs the body of Pamela Anderson...ok, maybe Opus with Pamela's body is a little freaky.

1) I have no idea who Berkley Breathed is, and
2) I have no clue what the posting was supposed to be about.

That's all.

Berkley Breathed wrote Bloom County, Outland, and now the weekly Opus.

He is a fellow Iowan. His brain is what keeps Iowa's collective IQ among the highest, despite the best efforts of my family to make it otherwise.

And that's cuz his Iowan brain was developed at UT Austin! (We can claim him too!)

Actually, what Breathed said is not news--they've been saying this since the late 1980's when the prospect of cheaper high performance desktop computers and digital still cameras were nearly at hand.

Of course they were. It was the basis of the movie, "Rising Sun" with Shaun Connery and Wesly Snipes(in the book, the Snipes character was hispanic).

That is why I asked that you just play along.

Besides, has anyone else presidcted pear pimples for hairy fishnuts?
