In ST: Deep Space Nine, there was a character named Dr. Julian Bashir. The actual actor is Sudanese/Pakistani who lived in England.

In the year 2179, after 200 years of non-stop Jihadi terrorism, all the non-Muslim people of the world had had enough. They formed the Great Anti-Islamic Alliance and combined all their armed armed forces aginst the Sand-Nazis. They obliterated every mosque on earth, extermiated every Muslim, and nuked Mecca into a smoking crater. That effectevely ended all war on earth.

Really, a joke about the annihilation of a race isn't funny.

There has been an Iranian born person in space. Anousheh Ansari just landed after a ten day trip to the International Space station.

At the risk of outing myself as a Trekkie nerd....Sulu was Japanese, not Chinese.
But still funny.

Maybe this dude need to have his son read, "A Canticle for Liebowitz". Great book about nuclear holocaust and mankinds revitalization after the Dark Ages that follow Global Nuclear War.
Of course there's the Wandering Jew and the Christian Monks who build the space ships when "Lucifer Rises!"
Maybe Ahab the Ayrab might not like the book.
Remember "The right stuff" and Scott Glenn doing the "Jose Jimenez" astronaut gig?

Don't forget Indian (as in India). Lieutenant Ilia in the first Star Trek movie was played by Persis Khambatta.

I feel bad saying this, but "set phasers to jihad" does have a certain ring to it. You know, maybe for a bad guy. Or maybe "setting phasers to jihad" would mean throwing them instead of rocks to try and stone somebody. I don't know.

You know, I hate to be a killjoy, but isn't genocidal humor a bit much?
Also, if we are talking TNG, I think the woman who played Councilor Troy was of Iranian decent. Could be wrong on that though.

I remember seeing Kavi Raz, a secondary actor on NBC's "St. Elsewhere" later play an Engineering Officer on a very early episode of ST:TNG.
I believe he was helping Wesley Crusher with a science project. Surprisingly, the Engineering Officer didn't die by the end of the episode.
Jack.

That's the old Richard Pryor routine,
"I went to go see 'Logan's Run' a movie about the future, and there ain't no n----s in it. And I said 'white folks ain't plannin' for us to be here.'"
