I "Might" agree if I thought (or saw any sign) that Halloween was being celebrated in such a manner.

Being a good (or was when I was younger) Catholic and going on 63 (in 2 weeks) I've yet to see anyone associate Satan with Halloween, nor have I even heard of any "satanists sacrificing babies, molesting little boys; much less drinking blood and eating live animals."

Perhaps they do such things in Ireland (though I seriously doubt it) but I would have to be convinced (yeah a "doubting Thomas") that ANY such rituals take place--as the norm--here in the USA.

I think we are all aware of from whence this holiday comes from, however, over the years, it has become secularized--much like many of our other Holidays, including Christmas--and is now just a day whereby our Chillens dress up in costumes and trick or treat for candy.

As a child I doubt very much that my sainted Mother would have condoned any activity which even came close to recognizing something which was associated with Satan.

Moreover, though I have relatives who are/were nuns and priests, I never heard any even whisper that we should not celebrate Halloween.

While there may be some "Wick-ans" (sp?) or others who practice Witchcraft, the majority of Americans simply use this as an excuse for their little ones to have some fun. And after all, don't we all grow up so fast and everything we knew and enjoyed as Chillens go by the wayside soon enough?

I say balderdash and break out the candy--and make the dentists happy and rich. lol
