A teenage Dutch kickboxer gave birth to a baby girl - a day after being kicked in the stomach during a bout.
Pamela Vughts, 17, was taken to the hospital Monday when she started bleeding and gave birth through Caesarian to a healthy baby girl named Charity. Despite being seven months pregnant and 17 pounds overweight, Pamela was unaware of the pregnancy.
Her bout was part of a kickboxing event in Den Bosch, Netherlands. During the fight, a ring doctor suspected the young pugilist, who had a bulging stomach, was pregnant and put an end to the fight, according to ad.nl, a Dutch news Web site.
She has always been a bit heavy, her father, Cor Vughts, told Destentor, a Dutch Web site. But because she was having monthly periods we thought she had just put on weight over the holidays.
Vughts, who lives with her parents, has since taken the baby home.
Pamela cried (like) a child, her mother, Marie Jose Vughts, told Destentor. She was entirely overwhelmed.
Pamela said: I thought that she wouldnt be well with that kick to my stomach.

Ping!
I'm still looking for anything in this story that could be construed as "good".
Other than that the baby survived her mother's bout.
Doesn't the kicking normally come from the inside?
The worst part -- Dutch kickboxers wear klompens.
