I guess these guys have never been to Philadelphia or Detroit - a full civil war going on there based on the body counts...

It's not so much that they are brain dead as they simply support the enemy.

Regions have not seceded and the Army hasn't taken sides.

NBC News makes stuff up.

If it's not a civil war, what is it?

Main Entry: civil war
Function: noun
: a war between opposing groups of citizens of the same country

Aside from the outside assistance most factions are receiving, I fail to see the problem with this appellation.

Criminal elements trying to gain a buck or two from outside influences. It's no better or worse than the mafia use to be but we didn't call that a civil war.

I have a problem when a so-called "news" station makes declarations of other countries situations. Who nominated them as the new Webster Dictionary? I declare NBC a bunch of Crackheads.

I doubt it matters much to the people getting blown up every day in Iraq whether the current chaos is styled "civil "war, "sectarian violence", or "Allah-Palooza".

They are still scraping their neighbors off the streets in record numbers.

Right. Just criminal elements -- a few looters and vandals -- that happen to be operating sectarian militias, engaging in wholesale religious cleansing, and fracturing the country into "held" territories.

Honestly, I don't know why conservatives have to deny reality to prove doctrinal purity.
