Did anyone else see this (I turned it off in disgust). Show opens with chainsaw wielding guys threatening another person whose back is turned to the camera. A lady, dressed in slacks and carrying a small video camera, comes into the scene and says they should quit because she's recording them.
They threaten her with the chainsaws and start chasing her demanding that she give them the camera.
She is discovered badly beaten and dead underneath a metal sculpture of the earth that was supposedly built for a "we are the world" type expo.
Long story short, chainsaw maniacs are Hebrew scholars, person originally threatened is a Mexican - threatened because they think Mexicans are taking all the jobs, camera holding lady whose killed is a Muslim who is 7 weeks pregnant, killer is her anti-abortion, Caucasian (Christian?) boyfriend who is conspiring with his father to cover up the crime. Oh puhlease!!!
At that point, I turned off the TV and read instead (shoulda done that in the first place).
Comments, other than the quality of the drivel is getting worse?

You should have watched it. There were LOTS of twists in the story. Her boyfriend, I believe, was a Jew. She was Pakistani. He didn't kill her. He and his uncle were covering up something else much less heinous. She was killed by her own brother because she wouldn't marry the guy her parents had flown in from Pakistan in a pre-arraingement.

I detest Law & Order. It is one of those disgustingly PC shows claiming "ripped from the headlines". Problem is Law & Order changes the crooks from poor minorities to rich white people. It's a liberal crap-fest.

Yes, unfortunately, I did see it.
Nobody got chainsawed. They were just for show. LAOCI always throws a half dozen plot twists in to keep you off course. One can watch the first half hour and still have no idea who committed the crime and why.
I liked it.
I think the boyfriend was Italian, not Jewish. The Jewish kids were after the illegals not because of job, but because an illegal drunk driver had killed a Jewish lady and her child.

The Hassidim were annoyed at the Mexicans because an illegal, driving without a license, had run over a Hassidic mother and baby in a crosswalk, killing both. (insert Howie Carr "La Cucaracha" music here) They were quickly exonerated, though cautioned against such vigilante justice tricks.
The boyfriend was Italian, ended up getting killed by her father when he went to Daddy's store to explain things. Daddy, carrying an unlicensed gun, got a trip to the pokey, but I forget what ultimately happened there.
In the end, however, it turned out that the brother killed her in one of those whack-o Muslim "honor killings" because not only did she not want to marry the Pakistani flown in for her (and subsequently smuggled back out in a freighter), she was actually PREGNANT from her non-Muslim boyfriend.

You're right about the illegal - yes they were exonerated, but I thought that the interrogator pretending to whack his hand was a nice touch (sarcasm) and do you really think making them Hasidim was random?
Yes, I recognize L & O has red herrings but recently they've tended toward the politically correct. I made the mistake of watching one clear through on abortion politics/political correctness and when they trend this way, I just turn it off.
They put the Hasidim in there, in my humble opinion, to show there's not much difference between what those nasty Jews (sarcasm) are inclined to do and what the Muslims do.
Did you know that the first season of "Gomer Pyle, USMC" came out on DVD recently? Watch it. It'll be more enjoyable than that drivel.
The way I see it, all of the L&O shows either start out strong and fail, or hobble through the first 30 minutes and end strong. I'm seldom satisfied from beginning to end, but I always make it through.

Law & order has turned into a disgusting lib anti-American and Jew-bashing and Christian-hating show. Last night they did a take on the Russian poisoning incident in London and had the gall to suggest that the Israelis had done it. Chris Noth even says to Eric Boghosian "Are you a Jew first and a cop second?" How offensive. I am asking people to email the show to complain. They have also continuously bashed right to lifers.
