Tressel's Men, Meyer's Guys, are about to meet. Folks it is kinda obvious who is going to be going home a bit upset.

Hint: I'm told that for a Gator in an egg to be hatached a male, it has to be really warm during the incubation...

Well .... my understanding is that its been unusually chilly down there for awhile now. What does an alligator look like, exactly, wearing a skirt?

They say the SEC is a tough league....

we'll see soon enough....

my only reservation regards the play of Tebow. That dude is an x factor if there ever was one. In the inconceivable, a win by the Gators will be attributed solely to him.

But even so, our man Tressel has a knack of putting the hook deep in the championship trophy....so Tebow will have to pull off a miracle.

He plays w/ a spirit that reminds me of Clay Matthews of the old Cleveland Browns.

Well, did I miss the game or something?

That's the score I was hoping to see, though, or something in the 2-touchdown win range......

Hmmm. I didn't estimate a score. But given yours, I might as well:

Ohio State is going to score 3 times in the first half, and 3 in the second. two will be field goals. Thus OSU, 33.
The Gators are going to have a bit of trouble keeping up on scoring. They'll get a total of 4 scores. Three field goals, and a touchdown. That comes to 16 points.

Buckeyes 33
Gators 16.

51 days since the Buckeyes last played -- way too long. The system needs an overhaul.

Delay of Congress Called for BCS Game

WASHINGTON — It's only the first week of the 110th Congress, but Democrats have already called a time-out so lawmakers can enjoy a very important event — the BCS championship football game between University of Florida and the Ohio State University. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer on Friday handed out this week's schedule. It noted that House legislative actions would not begin on Monday, but would be postponed until Tuesday. Though the schedule does not offer an explanation for the delay, Hoyer, D-Md., said on the House floor that he wanted to let lawmakers from the big states of Ohio and Florida off, presumably so they could attend the game or participate in game-related activities at home.

"There is a very important event happening Monday night, particularly for those who live in Ohio and Florida. In the spirit of comity, and I know if Maryland were playing, I would want to be accommodated and I want to accommodate my friend, Mr. Boehner," Hoyer said in reference to new House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio. While the decision benefits both Democratic and Republican football fans, it signals a step back from the reform-minded pledge Democrats took after they won control of Congress to work a five-day week in Washington, up from three-day weeks during the Republican Congress.

I know, my wife was saying what? Jan 8? It does seem a bit late. But then again, the gators can't claim they didn't get a fair rest either.

51 days is a rust-inducing rest. ....and Florida's 36-day rest is too long as well. There should be around a 3-week break from the last game of the regular season until the championship game. ....which should be played on New Year's Day.

Unless Florida scares them by being surprisingly aggressive (and successful) offensively, OSU will tune it down before they score that much.

By "surprise", I don't mean that I don't expect an aggresive competent UF offense, but rather whether they convince Tressel they can score three TDs in the drop of a hat. If he thinks the game is in control, OSU won't lay the points on.

You predicting the UF kicker blows a PAT? Because he sure has trouble making FGs.
