I believe this young lady is following through with what had already been planned before her father died. This is no suprise to anyone familiar with Bindi Irwin's career.

How exactly do you expect a widow and two children to survive? Perhaps you can take up a donation for them.
This kid needs a life, a purpose, which will help fill the void of losing her father. Psychologically and financially, this could be the best move for the family if it's managed correctly.

Maybe she does have some of her father's media savvy. Hope she's not one of those children that get exploited and then left for the vultures.

Sure wish you hadn't put the gag me part in the headline. I'd been looking today for a Bindi thread, since she's due to arrive in L.A. tomorrow for the start of the US tour.
She's going to be on the Ellen DeGeneris Show tomorrow in the daytime and then on Letterman tomorrow night, according to the schedule.
I saw a preview of her little dancing show on TV today and it was cute - just a bunch of jumping around that little kids do, along with some animal stuff.
She's a precious (and precocious) little girl, doing what she has done all her life, as she will tell you. She misses her dad, but knows he's watching her and she wants to make him proud, she says.
A grownup reporter asked her what she thinks Steve might tell her before she goes on and she said "Excuse me, that's personal, if you don't mind. Sorry, rather not say."
She's got the savvy and she certainly has her father's bounciness. I don't see Terri being the pushy one at all - I think Bindi has been the one wanting to get on with it.

Yeah, we all know better than the parent.
I've got a good idea. Let's conservatives allow parents to guide their own children's lives! I am not sure Bindi needs our village to raise her. Not sure her parent needs our village to judge her and point out the errors of her ways. Maybe our village should legislate Bindi's raising since we know better than mom.

Really living up to your name tonite, aren't you? Maybe, just maybe, Bindi wants to do this & perhaps her mom needs to keep busy.
Many people find that a good coping mechanism when they are faced with a horrible tragedy in their lives!

We all know that when the patriarch dies the life of widow and children is over.
Bindi is doing nothing she wasn't going to do before Steve died.

Please, no....no...we're begging you... don't.This child is being turned into a circus geek. I guess she likes it, but there is something unseemly here.

The real question is, what kind of emotional shape will she be in when she's sixteen?

I think it's a good thing...Bindi's strong and this is 'who' she is....like her dad.

You all will say I'm a meanie but I think that if she wants to do this tour she should be prepared to do things she doesn't want to due to being tired, bored, "just doesn't want to," etc. At eight years old I did a lot of things I just didn't want to do.

I feel sorry for the girl but teaching her to be an irresponsible prima donna is wrong!

I doubt her father, Steve< would approve of that ... Just as the film crew agreed to finish their taping ... and meet the deadlines ... last show of Steve alive will be aired Jan 21st - they agreed to finish it and they did. It wasn't a matter of what they FELT like doing.
I hope they don't make a mess out of this little girl, Bindi.

Just lately, I saw her on the tube with her mom and some guy dressed to look almost exactly like her dad.
Creeped me out. Remember in the movie "The Stepford Wives" when the guy was making love to his robot wife and her eyes suddenly went totally expressionless?
This is like Stephen King stuff or something!
