I suggest taking a walk in the woods at sunset during a cold winter's day with "Art of Fugue" playing in your headphones. It provides for a very surreal experience.
I will have that opportunity in a couple of hours and will take it. We had a few inches of snow last night and I look forward to taking Bach into the woods with the snow crunching under my feet and a cold, winter's wind blowing through the stark, bare trees as the sky turns different shades of red and the stars start coming out.

cantor, or musical director, at St. Thomas's in Leipzig. Bach was a very theologically astute Lutheran church organist, and we Lutherans are very proud of him!
