I don't think there was anything wrong with the way she looked to begin with. She's pretty.

She should wash her hair and face, though. Both are greasy.

I am sure her hair and face were not washed for a reason - to make a point. However:

Perfect chiseled nose, perfect eyebrows, great hair and high cheek bones. A six year old could apply makeup to that face and viola! A perfect beauty.
Now, try that with me...

Yeah, I saw this same video a couple of weeks ago, and that was my reaction. There wasn't anything wrong with her the way she was.

This is an interesting little bit that illustrates how distorted society's view of beauty is.
As I've mentioned in this thread already, I thought she was cute to begin with. I'd date her. She probably wouldn't date me, but that's not really the point.

Can you capture and post the side by side photo shown at the beginning of the video, the before and after split? Thanks.

Before.........................................After
I did not include the digitally remastered photo. I don't think it's the same woman.

It's kind of nice to see menfolk who can tolerate us without our 'prepping' since it's really best not to go to bed with makeup on.

Did you watch the video? It makes the point that she looks that way at the end not just because of makeup, but because of photo imaging - the neck is lengthened, the eyes are enlarged (digitally) and the latter picture is after all of that has been done - thus creating an unrealistic picture.

Great, thank you very much!

In other words, what you said is my reasoning for not including it.

I don't think there was anything wrong with the way she looked to begin with. She's pretty. That's the whole point of the video. There's nothing wrong with the way she looked before all the manipulations. But now it's no longer good enough to be normal; we have a distorted idea of what's beautiful because the models and actresses around us have been tweezed, surgically sculpted, made up, lasered, and Photoshopped. Now this impossible vision is the standard. The result is that many Western women, particularly American women, feel they aren't good enough or attractive enough. In young girls who haven't learned to value themselves through talents or accomplishments, this can be damaging.
At least, that is the point of the campaign. Oh, and also that "all you need is our soap to be pretty."
