EARTH TO LAMAR: FRED THOMPSON LOOKING THE PART AIN'T ENOUGH (41-second video FLUB)

EARTH TO LAMAR:
FRED LOOKING THE PART AIN'T ENOUGH (video)

by Mia T, 4.3.07

Lamar Alexander on Hardball, pushing Fred Thompson for president confirms the obvious: Fred's top asset is his stage presence, followed closely by his presidential and other executive experience... on film.

Fred's geography and ideology seal the deal for Lamar, the former being pure South and the latter, pure enough Right.

And if they do manage to get me, well, I'm cool with Jesus, so that's OK.

I live in Manhattan and also do not fear death. That doesn't mean I am "happy-go-lucky without a care in the world" about whether terrorists nuke American towns and cities in the future.

There is a reason that Rudy is the only Republican that can win California. It’s because he’s a social liberal.

Ah. A fatalist. And a self-centered one, to boot.

Individualism is the cornerstone of conservatism.

There is a difference between ‘individualism’ and ‘egoism.’

When you're as sexy and smart as I am, it's tough not to have an ego.

;)

But again, having an ego, and being an egoist, are not the same thing.

I think your statement is the crux of rudy’s weakness.

there are many that will “hold their nose” to ultimatly vote for him as a vote against Hilary Clinton HOWEVER they will not spend their time or money or encourage others to vote “for” him.

Rudy’s support is only from a “Hilary Stink” factor, it is not a pro Guiliani vote.

Most of the Rudy supporters on FR would just as soon vote for a Ham Sandwich if it looked like it would beat HRC.

If you won't oppose a morally-bankrupt, ethically-challenged LIBERAL in your own party that favors killing unborn children, believes homosexuality is good and normal that has cheated on his wife, it's hard to take your attacks on the Clintons seriously.

If one has to vote the Republican equivalent of the Clintons, one has no moral standing to bash them.

Personally, I don't view being a senator especially relevant.

Do you view whether a candidate is conservative or not as relevant?

SampleMan: Funny how experience as a Senator is good enough for every other candidate (R) & (D) in the race, but Fred "has no real experience".

It is peculiar how that's only applied to one candidate. Not Hitlery. Not Obama. Not McStain. Not Rudi.

I'm not too worried over Lamar anyway. No one listens to him.

"But the captain we need isn't Rudy Giuliani. Giuliani told the 1998 RNC summer meeting the way to get elected is to sacrifice "one principle here or one principle there." Sacrifice principles like "the right to life" here, "the right to bear arms there" and give special rights to homosexuals while you're at it." -- Janet Fogler, World Net Daily, 4/3/07

How can you rip the Clintons a new one on a regularly basis and support a man that is just as unprinciples, immoral and liberal, Mia?

Get a sense of humor... (Didn’t you notice that my tongue was somewhat in cheek?)

and a sense of perspective—Rudy was doing it for charity.

Bravo! I'm sick of that picture being posted as if it's proof of some sort that Giuliani is a cross dresser. It's absolutely ridiculous. Our sons dressed up as women for an event when they were in high school and it was one of the funniest things we'd ever seen! It still makes me laugh when I think back on it.

As I've already been told by one poster on this forum, my vote doesn't matter this time, the juggernaut that is RINO Rudy simply doesn't need me or my vote. Wonderful attitude I'm seeing here as of late.

I'm not a Rudy camper, but that attitude is nothing but payback for three or four years of abuse that the moderates took from the social conservative right on this very forum, so i understand it.

As should you...

If you did not participate in it, then it was not really directed at you, but remaining silent while other conservatives are attacked because they are not conservative enough for a vocal minority is the same as participation in my book.

This is why the party is all fouled up, and it will be sometime before the rifts heal. If ever...

Another reason I’m pulling for Mr. Thompson is I believe he could help heal those open wounds.

I participated, but from the moderate point of view as I am a moderate conservative. I didn’t participate much, but I did voice my opinions. Then again, I didn’t participate on this forum much until the last couple of years, and even then I tended to stay away from those vicious threads as they did not interest me.

Hillary must be stopped.

If stopping Hillary requires promoting another liberal, you can count me out.

Mia T, I presume you wrote the title: “EARTH TO LAMAR: FRED THOMPSON LOOKING THE PART AIN’T ENOUGH (41-second video fries Fred)” Perhaps you need to elaborate that smear line and explain to me how idiot Lamar’s comments to Left-freakin’ Matthews fries Fred Thompson. What a strange lead line, Mia.
