May 23, 2007 -- Some people sleep like the dead, but one West Virginia man took it to a new extreme.
Michael Lusher somehow managed to sleep through being shot in the head, not realizing he had been struck until he woke up four hours later and noticed he was bleeding.
The shot was one of five that an unknown gunman sprayed through Lusher's mobile home as he slept.

Strange. Would only think that Al Gore or John Kerry would be capable of something like that.
More likely the impact knocked him out instead of waking him up.
I dont find this strange at all. When you experience a severe trauma you often don’t recall it.
I got hit by a car once, and all I remember is walking donw the strret once second, and waking up looking at the sky the next.
Another time a car pulled in front of me and we crashed and my airbags went off. I always wondered what it felt like, but I dont recall a thing until I suddenly woke up with smoke all around me in my car.
If anybody would just think, they'd see this is no big deal.
If you're in bed and asleep and somebody busts you on the head with bat....guess what, you'd "sleep" through it as well and not remember it.
A bullet to the head depending on the caliber would deliver a force that would "knock you out" and make you "sleep".
jeez...
