The major lesson I learned in SG1:

Never never never have Teal'c on your bad side..


It is a shame they killed off Becket in Atlantis.. He was one of my favorite characters in that show.. He was like if McCoy and Scotty had a kid....

Yeah it was kind of shocking to see Becket go. Did the actor actually leave the show or are they doing an over arching story type thing?

With that haircut, I’d think roles are hard to find.

Don't take this to the bank, but I read somewhere that they are bringing Teryl Rothery onto the show (She played Dr. Frazier on the earlier SG-1s.) Maybe this is to make room for her?

How are they going to explain her? Her character died in SG1.

No idea. I don’t know if she will be playing the same continuing character. If I find out anything, I’ll post it.

Don’t think that is going to happen.. Jewel Staite is will be one of the regulars on Atlantis..

They need to stop recycling actors. Remember Narim, the Tollan who was Sam’s love interest? In Atlantis he became Elizabeth’s ex-boyfriend!

I thought Dr. Frazier died?

One of the reasons I got into Atlantis was the musical voices of Dr. Becket and Dr. Zelenka. At first I just had the show running as background noise, which is how I get into a lot of shows I wouldn’t normally watch.

I really liked the Beckett character - he didn’t take any guff from Sheppared, McKay or even Weir. And he made McKay so human! Sorry to see him go.

Forgot to mention: I LOVE Teal’c episodes. He’s always so. . . Teal’c. I really enjoyed the Free Jaffa episodes and would like to see more.

He’s going to be back for a few episodes but he was written out at the show’s behest. It’s he wanted to stay.

It’s a fact that they’re not only bringing in Jewel Saite as the new doctor, but it’s also said Amanda Tapping from SG-1 is joining Stargate Atlantis when her show finally ends.

FYI to all. These new SG-1 and Atlantis episodes have already aired in the UK and Canada back in February.

Interesting bit of trivia about recycled actors. Also, it looks like KevinDavis is right about Jewel Staite becoming the new doctor on Stargate Atlantis. I can’t find any corroboration for a role for Teryl Rothery.
