Two people are taken to the hospital after a street fight Saturday evening in Huntsville.
It happened on Joslin Street in west Huntsville.
When police got to the scene, the found a battle ax and cross bow among the weapons.
All of the weapons were taken as evidence.
Police spent Sunday working to determine who is the victim and who is the suspect.
As of 5:00 Sunday evening, no one has been charged in this case.
When Crossbows and BattleAxes are outlawed.........
That’s not fair, you have to leave at least one to some one else.
I wonder what the demographics are, of Joslin Street in west Huntsville? Nerdy World of Warcraft players, gone Postal?
LOL - that's exactly what happens in 90% of the street crimes in this country. Ya cain't tell da playas wid out a score card.
Update!

Man involved in bizarre street fight talks to WAFF
A fight in west Huntsville between friends landed two men in the hospital.
The weapons used were anything but ordinary.
Pat Tordt got out of the hospital Saturday night and he’s got serious cuts and bruises that clearly show he was involved.
It was a fight so intense, the weapons used were scattered some 30 yards down a street.
And a crime scene police don’t come across everyday.
Thirty-nine-year-old Tordt talked with WAFF 48 News a day after he says he was brutally attacked by his friends. “It was lay here and let these two grown men beat me to death and let my son be an orphan or get them off of me. It’s that simple.”
Tordt says Saturday evening, in a heated discussion by phone, threats were made by the other party.
Huntsville Police confirm two men did come to Tordt’s home on Joslin Street.
Tordt says, “They pulled up in the truck, rolled the window down said a few words that weren’t very polite to me you want something come get it, all that and spun the tires started taking off and I busted the passenger side window with the golf club, I admit that. They went up probably up past that pole, they both jumped out, one had an ax, it’s an ax with a spike on the other end which is what he chopped me in the arm with.”
Tordt says he was tackled to the ground and, in self-defense, used a knife to stab one of the alleged attackers.
“I know if he hits me in the head with this bat it’s going to kill me so I stabbed the dude in the back.”
Weapons strewn everywhere.
“I was hit with an ax on this arm here they barely go time with a knife. Then I was stabbed again there and while I was trying to defend myself I was clocked across the back several times with a ball bat and hit numerous times in the back of the neck.”
Neighbors say Tordt was bleeding heavily in the road.
Police soon caught up with the other men in their truck not far from the scene.
One was taken to the hospital. Sgt. DeWayne McCarver with Huntsville Police says, “We recovered an ax, a small sword, a baseball bat, even a crossbow. It was a pretty intense fight.”
McCarver tells us the injuries were serious, and the weapons of choice aren’t something police run across everyday.
He says, “No charges have been filed at this point. We want to make sure that we get to the bottom of it and get all the facts before we pursue charges.”
Investigators are still trying to distinguish who the suspects and who the victims were here.
Tordt tells WAFF 48 Investigators he’s friends with the two men and believes the situation got out of hand. He says he feels badly for everything that happened and hopes everyone recovers from their injuries.
One would think that even the WoW crowd is smart enough to realize that a crossbow isn’t very good in a street fight.
Well, it was almost a free for all to join in......
Q: Who brings a crossbow to a battle ax fight?
A: The winner.
I would say, all of the above plus a few more.
Hot summer Saturday nights, usually something amazing going on.
> One would think that even the WoW crowd is smart enough to realize that a crossbow isnt very good in a street fight.
I would not want to meddle with someone wielding a crossbow in the street — particularly if he knew how to use it.
Crossbows are at least as lethal as a hi-powered rifle, and much easier to use and control with much less recoil and much less noise. A crossbow can kill you stone dead, no worries. A good one can fire a bolt thru the side of a car and still be lethal.
Some of them are not much larger than a pistol, reasonably easy to conceal.
Oh, I know that . . . I simply envision a street fight as being more of the close-quarters sort of combat.
Did someone mention battle-axe?
I’m waiting for bowling balls fired from trebuchets.
I love trebuchets.
Hi! I’m Gary Gygax and it’s... (rolls dice)... nice to meet you!
I didn’t play all those years of Dungeons and Dragons and not learn a little something about street fighting.
All I want to know is where are the pix ... and if they were wearing loin cloths?

Some of the stuff our Patrol see on the streets being used as weapons boggle the mind. Haven’t seen a crossbow yet and I hope I never do. Hand-saws are bad enough!
