"Ours is a nation of immigrants. We're also a nation of law. Unfortunately, the United States has not been in complete control of its borders for decades and, therefore, illegal immigration has been on the rise. We have a responsibility to address these challenges. We have a responsibility to enforce our laws. We have a responsibility to secure our borders. We take this responsibility seriously. "
Yea sure, whatever...

"he Secure Fence Act builds on this progress. The bill authorizes the construction of hundreds of miles of additional fencing along our southern border. The bill authorizes more vehicle barriers, checkpoints and lighting to help prevent people from entering our country illegally."
WHERES THE FENCE?????

"Ours is a nation of immigrants. Demonstrably untrue.
We're also a nation of law.
Also demonstrably untrue.
Unfortunately, the United States has not been in complete control of its borders for decades and, therefore, illegal immigration has been on the rise.
Finally a true statement.
We have a responsibility to address these challenges.
So do it.
We have a responsibility to enforce our laws.
So do it.
We have a responsibility to secure our borders.
So do it.
We take this responsibility seriously.
Demonstrably untrue.
So few sentences. So much bullsh**.

One of my good buddies was one of the "up to 6,000" National Guardsmen" who were sent to the border last summer as a result of the pre-election Conservative outrage over the situation down there. He spent about four months down in Arizona, and said that the whole exercise was a joke. He and his pards stayed in a Double Tree hotel in Phoenix, spent most of the time partying, and routinely drove down to the other side of the border to visit some Mexican senoritas.
Yeah, when the Administration says that it is going to do something, it really means it!

WHERES THE FENCE?????
Campaign ploy to gain reelection for members of congress.
To vote for the fence before the election then fail to appropriate the dollars to have it built after the election amounts to nothing more than deception.
A lie!
We can afford as a nation to spend multi-billions in Iraq.
We can afford as a nation to send billions to fight aids in Africa.
We can afford to send billions in foreign aid all over the world.
WE CAN AFFORD A DAMN FENCE THE LENGTH OF OUR SOUTHERN BORDER!
To: Afronaut
To hell with a fence, I want towers with machine guns. Our country is being invaded by hostile forces, and the use of deadly force must be authorized.
This is a military issue!

Two years and what, two miles of fence?
That’s our illustrious govt for ya.

Thanks for enlightening us about the charade. I’m sure most of us suspected as much.
I enlisted, Vietnam era. It didn’t take too long before I thought: “I am willing to die for my Country, but not to have my life thrown away for nothing”. I’m not talking about the merits of the Vietnam conflict, I’m talking about the military bull*hit. Fortunately, I didn’t go to Nam.

Why bother posting this? Most of us saw this as a deparate election season ploy, we weren’t fooled, and the GOP got what it deserved. We know who and what GWB is by now.

It’s the old dried pea under the cup trick. The Senate, the House & the White House are the 3 cups and the dried pea is the fence. WHERE’S THE FENCE...under which cup!!!!

Riiiiight!! The day after a stunning defeat, he throws out a morsel to Americans so we'll think he's serious about border control......
Why didn't he do it before? It's a con game, folks. Don't believe him!
