>>Plea Deal in Vick Case Could Be Announced This Afternoon
There were growing indications today that Michael Vick’s attorneys could complete a plea agreement with federal prosecutors and perhaps announce as soon as this afternoon that the Atlanta Falcons quarterback has accepted the deal.<<
well, remember a couple of weeks ago, the news clips of all the ‘brothas and sistahs’ all proclaiming mike was innocent and that ‘whitey’ was trying to hold down a black man...
wonder if those same folks will be captured on film now that he HAD ADMITTED BEING GUILTY......
Agreed. Seems like the prosecution should have gone to trial, what with the testimony of the other perps going against Vick.
No, a plea is a conviction. In a court of law.
You obviously are not from Atlanta. lol
Now I will say it, “GUILTY!”
I doubt it. If you plead guilty or even no contest, the judge will issue a finding of guilty. Now if they want to say, “He was never convicted by a jury” OK by me. Prisons are full of people never convicted by a jury.

A plea deal that would send Michael Vick to prison for 18 to 36 months in relation to a dogfighting operation is on the table, CNN reports. Vick’s attorneys want to get that reduced to less than a year and also want to hear from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell before they accept any bargain, sources said. <<

I know they’re legally equivalent (Standard job application question - “Have you ever been convicted, pled guilty or no-contest ...”), but his supporters will still try to weasel around it.
