Terry Gross meets The Simpsons
The host of NPR's popular "Fresh Air" just taped an appearance on The Simpsons, in a scene where Marge turns on the radio in a rental car. The Philadelphia Inquirer says the producers encouraged Gross to sound "more cartoonish" on her lines, which make her the latest in a long line of guest stars on the Fox TV series. NPR says the daily hour-long "Fresh Air" is carried on more than 160 stations, and is a popular download via podcast.
I will say that she did at least have Bill O'Reilly on once...Ingraham played excerpts of her fawning over her other guest, Al Franken, then treating BOR a bit brusquely. To his credit BOR fought back...
If they are using an NPR host on the Simpsons as liberal Lisa’s choice in radio tastes it pretty much indicts NPR as a left wing federally funded mouthpiece.
The new movie is kind of like a cartoon version of Inconvenient Truth, in a way...still kinda funny if
left-leaning.
