An ode to the hapless Rebs!

What was that all about?
I haven’t much use for a university that will sell their heritage and history to recruit diverse athletes. Whatever happens to Ole’ Miss is what they deserve for selling out for political correctness.
Geaux Tigers!! ;p
Well, we kinda bit the big one yesterday at Kentucky.
you and me both partner...I still fly Colonel Reb
Ole Miss/Oxford is one odd place nowadays
socialist mayor
babes...really an amzing amount of Dixie’s finest
1,000,000 dollar condos for kids to live in and attend school
lousy football
beautiful campus and environs
probably a captured left wing faculty
Dickie Scruggs within farting range
...Faulkner would have more to write about but I doubt he could have afforded Rowan Oak
Plus, for selling out I thought Pete Boone was going to bring us winning programs. We were better in football when we were supposedly a “hate-monger” school.
Pete Boone spends too much time peddling to liberal alumni, most of which are lawyers. There has always been a lot of money in Oxford, but there are some out of state folks that are settling in Oxford now. (I think they are getting most of the parking passes these days)
Funny stuff. It’s also a year old.
And a parking pass is now a BIG deal on football gameday, since the absurd decision to outlaw parking on the highways. (When a girl was killed by a drunk driver, instead of getting serious about eliminating the drunk driving, they eliminated parking on the highways.)
I attended an average of 8-9 Rebel games per year between 1977 and 2004. In 2005 I moved to Texas and only made it to one game. In 2006 I did not make it to a single game for the first time in 30 years.
I did go to the Bama game this past weekend, and am going to the Arkansas and LSU games, as well.
I became an Orgeron fan during the game, even though we lost. The man plays all-out to win, and I respect that. I think we're one more good recruiting class away from becoming competitive again. Cut left the cupboard incredibly empty.

I remember the incident when the young girl was killed after the game. Very tragic. You are right, though. Instead of trying to address the core issue, underage drinking, Ole Miss did what everyone else is doing now. They make some other decision to that it appears they are correcting a problem. They made a change to where people should park. Now everyone else who didn’t drink has to walk 2-3 miles to get to the stadium. Did you happen to notice that they also eliminated many of the shuttles? So you can’t park close and you can’t catch a shuttle. Nice. And the kids are still drinking.
Ole Miss has some very good players. It just seems like they cannot put all facets of the game together on the same day. Sometimes the defense is strong and the offense struggles. Next week it’s the opposite. One more good recruiting class could do it. I certainly hope so.
Coach O is definitely known for his enthusiasm!!!
Our huge glaring problem that's killing us right now is a simple lack of depth. SEC opponents like Alabama and Georgia are constantly rotating, keeping the players fresh. Our starters are basically on the field start to finish. It's why we're losing games in the 4th quarter. This problem showed up huge against both Georgia and Alabama, especially the latter as we allowed Alabama to score those critical late points.
There's no reason to think Coach O won't continue to have recruiting success, so next year should be somewhat of a turning point. We should have enough talent on the field next year to win most of our non-conference games and a few SEC games. If we don't, then it probably won't bode well for O's future.
