I was interested in this EXCEPT for the stupid comment about the oil companies “wanting to assassinate me,” he said “without sarcasm.”

I’m sick and tired of this quasimarxist mythos about the big evil company of the moment wanting to squash invention and keep people oppressed. In fact, the oil companies would love this microwave gadget, assuming that it works, since people will still have to purchase fuel somehow and the oil companies already have the gas stations, refineries, pipelines, and fuel trucks ready to supply and transport the fuel.

Exxon and Mobil are going to kill the guy. What a load of crap. That statement right there makes me think this guy is a nutcase, not a legitimate inventor. (I hope I’m wrong, though.)

Statements such as this makes one lose credibility. (unless your a Democrat that is)

In fact, That's what the article says.

While we can argue what this guy actually meant by his assignation comment, he didn't say that the oil companies wanted to assassinate him, he said that he's been told they might want to assassinate him. Presumably by people who like to perpetuate the myth of the Big Evil Company

Excellent point!....Now if he'd said the Bilderbergers, CFR or Tri-lateral Commission, THEN I'd have taken another look!..............

If your going to use the quote at least use the whole quote. Otherwise your no better than an agenda driven N.Y. Times editor.

“Exxon and Mobil are going to kill the guy. What a load of crap.”

I totally agree. It’s BP that’s out to get him.

Seriously, I agree with your rant. I mean, like nobody else could invent this thing now that the concept is out (assuming for a brief moment it’s legit). Or doesn’t he have the this thing patented and the plans for the machine in multiple, safe locations?

How stupid is that.

Well, assuming this is true, and you were a mogul whose entire existence depended on the ascendancy of petroleum products, what would you do? Just drop out of business and become a pauper?

I'm simply asking the question, not taking a position.

It's even more confusing considering oil companies seem to be their primary market:

A patent-pending technology using microwave radiation promises to extract the vast majority of contaminants from oil drill cuttings, and oil companies are starting to take notice. Global Resources Corp., the owner of the technology, has reported interest from several petrochemical companies for the technology, based partly on a recent round of successful tests.

A good thought and, true I might add.

Was talking with an eighteen year old college student yesterday.

I can’t believe how brain washed the liberal professors have accomplished their ideology onto the youth of America. These young people believe George Bush controls the price of oil because the Bush family comes from oil ventures. I ask, do you know how the stock exchange works’ no he replied. Then you shouldn’t be talking about something a liberal professor has told you without exploring all the facts.
