Uh, ever hear of Maxwell, Newton, Physics, Thermodynamics, Carnot, any of this ? You cannot get out more energy from a device than what you put into it. If your interpretation of this principle is correct, why doesn't it require more fuel energy to pump oil out of the ground than is provided by the oil?
Fact is, the feedstock provides the external source of energy. It's not necessarily a violation of the laws of thermodynamics to transition hydrocarbons from one configuration to another.
