That sounds like our pups from the description. Once they've had a bath I'll see if their fur looks fluffier.

That dog in your picture is one sure arm load of dog, and beautiful.

Well, our lab used to spend A LOT of time inside when he was a pup but now he is an outside dog. Labs have a tendency to shed a lot and I didn’t like cleaning it. So we kicked him out of the house and we got him the companion dog and they seem quite content outside.

Do the worming first since you have kids playing with them.
Do it through a Vet (I would do this, this Friday) and have them scanned for chips while you are in there. Keep the poo cleaned up in your yard daily to prevent re-infestation (best to clean it up right away each time). Once you get a negative poo test for worms then you can relax on cleaning up the poo everyday.

Before getting shots and neutering them...(including the dew claw removal if you choose to do it)

Try to locate an owner of them for one or 2 weeks (call the police station, animal shelters and local vets to see if someone has reported them missing).

Wait about 2 weeks before getting their shots so you are not throwing that money out the window if someone claims them within during those 2 weeks.

Oops...

before you take them in for worming - get a fresh poop sample from at least one of them the same day you take them in to the vet.(if one has worms the other has them)

No, the one on the left looks like a Steve. The one on the right looks like a Dan.

OK. So have you picked names or anything yet?

Some suggestions for names would be, depending on how old your kids/grandkids are and what they’re interested in, are:
-Luke and Obi-wan
-Frodo and Sam
-Murphy and Connor
-Will and Jack (Pirates of the Carribean)
-Wallace and Gromit
-Neo and Morpheus
-Ford and Arthur (Hitchhiker’s Guide)
-Hiro and Ando (Heroes)

(With me and my siblings, the most popular names for ‘shared’ pet-like things are almost always from TV/movies/books that we all liked)

we refer to that “something else” as “a short brown traveling salesman” (substitute an appropriate color as needed.)

The 2 you have are showing masks on their foreheads, The masks will darken with age and they will loose that puppy face look.
They are mutts but I believe now they are mostly of GP blood.

All hell has broken loose in our home. The store just called us. Apparently the dogs jumped out of the back of a truck when their owner went inside the store.

I imagine the owners will give your family visitation privileges, since you’ve taken such good care of them.

skiddish = skittish!!! LOL.

I couldn’t believe I had typed that when I read it again. LOL.

I think our little stray may have been mistreated, and then stayed in the woods for a bit too. She had a lot of years of love though, and returned it with all of her heart, before she crossed rainbow bridge.

I could tell your guys weren’t afraid by that great picture. They were right at home. Hope you’ll keep a ping list of this thread and post pics for us after they’ve grown.
