I ran across this and it sounds too crazy to be true and I can't find any mainstream sources for it. I ran it through Snopes and some other urban legend sites but could not find anything on it.

A FORMER soldier who served in Iraq has been barred from joining the police because of a tattoo.

Craig Briggs was told the ‘England’ tattoo on his forearm “might be seen as racist or cause offence” by Greater Manchester Police.
