That's Rio De Janeiro. I wonder if a statue like that would be attacked by Federal Judges in the US (remember the monuments with the Ten Commandments) In France, a statue of John Paul II drove protests by atheists. In Switzerland, there are statues on mountains.

Corcovado? Brazil is lucky they don’t seem to have any ACLU equivalent to force them to clear out that monument to religiosity and sectarian privelege. /s
