Yet Another "Lifelong Republican" Obama Supporter Outed As A Phony

Here I posted about a Democrat Barack Obama supporter in Pennsylvania trying to pass herself off as a "lifelong republican".

Well, here is yet another one, this time in North Carolina.

First, an excerpt from the Charlotte Observer, titled "Obama Sends A Message":

Obama seemed to be reaching out to many of the working class voters who voted for Clinton in the Democratic primary. He shared a stage with Pamella Cash-Roper, a 54-year old licensed nurse from Pittsboro, who along with her husband is unemployed after both had heart surgery.

Cash-Roper said she was forced to cash out her 401(k) plan, forgo some medicines and be careful about the automobile trips she has to make.

A lifelong Republican, Cash-Roper said she was supporting Obama.

I believe there are a handful of these people-maybe a dozen or so-that do nothing all day but spam CSPAN and all the talkshows spewing this nonsense.

Of course, the media screens the calls carefully to leave the impression that this BS trend is growing exponentially.

They seek out these plants at caucuses, town hall meetings and other events.

I’ve been a life long conservative. Believed in the free market, small government, personal responsibility...but then Senator Obama touched this damp cloth to my forehead, and, and....well, now I’ve SEEN THE LIGHT! Che Guevera is God! Take from those who’ve earned more! F*** the rich! Support Class Envy!!

Hey you got it easy.
I was standing in my living room one day with my cow manure smeared overalls on drinking a beer and getting ready to stick a dip of copenhagen in my lip when B Hussein O came on TV. I made the mistake of looking directly into his eyes. In an instant I looked down and I was wearing a Che Tshirt and holding a latte in one hand and a tofu spinach wrap in the other.

Do Not Look Directly into Hussein’s Eyes!

Unfortunately, bmovies and the NC GOP are wrong on this.

When I read the article I immediately searched the NC voter registrations online.

There is a Pamella Cash-Roper, in Chatam county, who is a registered republican.

Not sure if this link to search results will work...

She was a Democrat before she recently registered as an Republican as your link shows

she voted in the Democrat 2nd primary since the SBOE shows that she did vote and there were no Republican contests in Chatham County for the 2nd Primary. The only contest was the runoff for the Democratic primary in the Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Excellent work. I knew someone would have the ability and take the time to research some of the races she voted in in the past.

Any other 2nd primaries she voted in that were exclusively democrat?

And are you sure that the "2nd primary" she voted in was limited to the SoPI race and no others?

I’m not at all sure what the story is on this woman. She may have voted in the Democratic Primary but so did a lot of Operation Chaos voters so I’m not sure you can hold her to just one election. I did a little searching on the internet and found her account of how she ended up introducing Obama. I don’t know how to link so I will just let you know the source is http://chatham-county-nc.com. In a post she recounts the following in response to another poster asking how she got selected (I have duplicated the relevant portion of her post as is):

“Thank you for asking . . . Randy Voller, Mayor of Pittsboro . . . who is a hard working Democrat was called by Obamas Campaign and asked if he knew someone willing to tell their story and introduce Obama, Monday at the meeting . . . Mr. Voller called me because we had met at the Scorehard and knew each other from there. He remembered the ordeals my husband and I have had with the government and wondered how we were fairing during these tough times. Randy asked me if I would consider doing the speech . . I was hesitate because I have always been a Republican . . . but had made up my mind last week to vote Obama, so I told Randy yes . . . he then called the campaign headquarters . . . they ran the background check and this nice lady from Chicago called and asked me 1000 questions, she and I worked on the speech and as they say the rest is history.”

It sounds like she was a Republican although why problems with the government would turn you into a Democrat is beyond my powers of logic.
