What people do in their own bedrooms is their business, I don't endorse homosexuality at all but I do realize that they do exist, I think there is some truth in both sides of nature vs. nurture. The thing I don't like is this quest for government recognition of homosexual marriage. If a church or religious body wants to recognize it, it is their right, but I would leave that church. Maybe government should not be in the marriage business with the exception of census taking for keeping a record, but it is involved and we have to live with it until if and when change comes. That said, if the homosexuals get their way, then I think it opens up the argument of recognizing other forms of marriage. It would be within the rights of a polygamist to what their marriages legalized. How about a guy who wants to marry his goat or a 1982 Buick? I know the proponents of homosexual marriage may not be pushing for people to marry goats, but it opens up the door for those who do.

We need to end tyranny by judges. If the proponents want homosexual marriage then go through the process of changing the law. Take few minutes and watch the old "Schoolhouse Rock" on how a bill becomes law. I'll be willing to even take it to the people for a referendum, ultimately, the people should decide. If we win, which I think is very much in our favor, so be it, but if we lose, well, that's the breaks, but at least we know where we stand instead of chasing after judges all the time.

It's no foregone conclusion. I bet if you looked into the demographics of the supporters of the California Marriage Amendment, you'd find a great diversity of ages, races, income levels, educational degrees, etc. In short, the kind of real diversity that's anathema to liberals.

Precisely. I see the polling on this issue the same way I see the polling on Obama v McCain. No one wants to admit to a pollster that they aren’t voting for the (MARXIST) Black guy or against (LEGALLY UNNECESSARY) marriage for homosexuals for fear of being viewed a racist or a homophobe (which is stupid - what do homophobes do? Run screaming from the room when Will & Grace is on?)
