People are lining up for licenses, including locally, now that California is allowing same-sex marriages. I doesn't affect me, I don't care. (102 Votes, 14%) Didn't the people vote to outlaw this? I’ve been saying this for a while...
They’re going to get serious buyer’s remorse when they get letters from their employers telling them they HAVE to get married or lose their partner benefits.
Everything I have read tells me that for all the hoopla, only a handful of gays have taken advantage of opportunities (Vermont, Canada) to tie the knot. Gay relationships are too unstable and they don’t want to be on the hook for alimony, etc.
Be careful what you wish for.

I heard the number is around 5% of homo couples are getting “married”.
Which exposes the agenda - it’s not about “equal rights”, it’s about destroying the special status that families have in our society.

As for gay marriage ...while I don’t agree with it , I see no stopping it . Nor do I see an end to the moral degeneration of our society . Just gonna keep sinking further and further into the mire ...

For the longest the poll was skewed towards no to same sex marriage so guess that after the Homosexuals chimed in they did not want any adverse opinions.
You're exactly right. Most don't want to get married, they just want marriage - to trash it. It only takes a token few to discredit the institution to the point where it no longer holds a special status in the eyes of the law or of society. Homosexuals know at heart that their union will never be the equivalent of a natural man woman union, no matter how hard they try and this enrages them. They must be declared the same by the state, complete with enforcement power to compell those that don't agree with the altered reality.
The tired argument of the homo-leftists is specious: that this is the equivalent of interracial marriage and it will prove no more calamitous. Interracial marriage is still fairly uncommon, but much more widespread than homo "marriage" will ever be. But interracial marriage never redefined the institution of a union of man and woman, and the occurrence of this has never had any diminutive affect on the institution. On the other hand, homo-marriage, from the immediate onset, changes society in fundamental ways. "Wife" and "Husband" become suspicious terms as do "mother" and "father" - they must now be explained at the risk of being called a "homophobe" and are to be discouraged from public use. No longer will the state refer to a couple getting marriage as "bride" and "groom", but by nebulous terms, such as "party A/party B". Words mean things, and a society's values are contained in the terms it has for fundamental issues such as marriage.
