You can still get RC Cola and Moon Pies, at least in our area. 35 cent gas...that's about when I started driving, and it was a major increase from the prices people were used to.

I remember my dad cursing at the price of gas, which had shot up to 44 cents.
I also remember carburetors, ignition timing guns, and adding water to the car battery.

I remember “gas wars” in Blount County, TN where gas was sometimes 17 cents a gallon...

Three piece Kentucky Fried Chicken dinner was $1.25....
