How much does your dog weigh?
If your dog is showing any sort of reaction, try Benedryl or something akin to the antihistimine in Benedryl - Benedryl is someting that dogs can take.
ONLY use aspirin (a low-dose type pill, probably split in half) for the pain - as all other pain killers are usually lethal to dogs.
Check the dogs gums for color. If you lift the lip and the dog’s gums are white the dog is in shock and needs attention immediately. You can give the dog water, but no food. Also - to see if the dog is heading toward a shocky state - put a little pressure on the dogs gums and see how long it takes for the gums to return to color.
I concur with your post. I’m co-founder of a dog rescue and finances have made it necessary for me know doggy first aid. You gave very good advice.
