Just wondering--after BHO takes the oath of office, he'll stroll past some guards...marines, maybe?
Who will be the first fine member of the military forced to salute the friend of HAMAS, the friend of Bill Ayers, the guy who'll sit down with our sworn enemies without preconditions?
It should be the Middle Fingered salute. I looked for a pic to post but could’nt find one.
Does one finger count?
Why? Regardless of what you think, come noon on January 20th Obama will be the commander-in-chief and entitled to the respect of those reporting up to him. Salutes are a token of that respect, and I have no doubt that the men and women of the military are aware of that. Even if you are not.
I feel for them because he is not a friend of the military. I understand that, even if you do not.
The brave men and women of our military will salute whoever is COC. All we can do is pray for their future.
“Just think, another Hussein in command of the world’s most powerful military.” Hamas Leader
So said those saluting Hitler when he bacame Chancellor.
I bet he does not salute back like Bush did. He never forgot to salute. I remember him running back to do it one time.
He has to give him or her a silver dollar doesn’t he?
probably a Marine guard
Goodie, another vanity
Remember the Marine guards who for years saluted Clinton as he stepped off the helicopter, and then FAILED to right-face and watch the CoC’s back until he was out of sight? This was never found out until they started showing both gestures of respect for GWB.
I agree, salute the position only. I can do no more.
I think it is time to review the Oath of Enlistment that is not only sworn to at the time of first enlistment, but at every subsequent reenlistment:
"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."
Our men and women of the United States Military will do their duty.
No. That's a tradition for newly commissioned officers, to give a silver dollar to the first enlisted man who salutes you. I gave mine to my dad.
Thank God I’m retired from the military. I wouldn’t walk across the parking lot to salute that ba$tard.
At the swearing in Bill Ayers will have his own personal seat, the one with the flag on the floor.
It always is, and should be the idea that you are saluting the Office, not the person.
