The reviewer must not have actually tried the cruncht ground beef taco, becasue it doesn’t have refried beans on it. He obviously doesn’t eat beef in the first place, so how can he review fast food?

The best deal in fast food is the Burger King Whopper Jr. Sesame bun, mayo, and lettuce and tomato. Pickle, too. 99 cents in my town.

Best fast food restaurant, IMO, is Chipotle. Yum! If there wasn’t one near my house, I would move to where there was one. The one by where I live serves margaritas. Real margaritas, for 3.50 each. OMG! They are fantastic!

Jack in the Box is pretty good for variety. The chicken fajita pita is the bomb. Wendy’s is rather boring, but they have decent chili and actual baked potatoes. Still better than McDonalds, regardless of the price. I don’t know about Carl’s Jr./Hardees, I stopped eating there long ago because I hate their commercials. I’m still boycotting after 12 years.

Zach's top pick: Southern Style Crispy Chicken Sandwich, $3.57, 550 calories

“Introduced a few months ago, this looks a lot like a Chick-Fil-A sandwich. It’s fried chicken with pickles and the roll is buttered. It’s a good mix, and with the 99-cent sweet tea, it’s perfect.”

Mmmmmmm....

I like Subway, but my favorite fast food lunch is Chic-Fil-A.
McDonald’s Southern Crispy Chicken sandwich and the similar one they now have at KFC are poor imitations of Chick-Fil-A.

I'd like to nominate the In-N-Out Double Double Combo--$5 and mid change--the best fast food in California, Nevada and Arizona...Get it animal style! Another honorable mention is Five Guys...where they aren't scared to give you a good portion of fresh cut french fries...and the burger is hand formed and fresh cooked. Just my .05 (.02 with Obamanomic tax increase)

Speaking of salads...I LOVE to make my own.

My local grocer sells three nicely cleaned “heads” of Romaine lettuce for under $2.

One, chopped up, is enough for two salads...so that shows you how much you’re overpaying for that “salad in a bag.” OMG! I have to actually CHOP my own lettuce? Will this TRIAL I call my life NEVER end? *SMIRK*

Add whatever is on hand...croutons, craisins, a chopped hard-boiled egg. Some small, canned shrimp or crab. A sprinkling of (shelled) sunflower seed, etc.

BUT...there has to be Blue Cheese dressing on the side for dipping. No substitutions. :)

An old ‘Weight Watchers’ tip: Have a big-@ss salad, but the dressing is on the side. Take a forkful of salad, then dip the edge of it in the dressing. You get all of the flavor, but less of the fat.

And seriously, we all KNOW that salad is just the ‘gateway’ to the salad dressing; just like cigs are the ‘gateway’ to the nicotine and white soda (7-Up to you infidels) is the ‘gateway’ to the brandy, LOL!

Nathan's Famous

You said it all!

I LOVE their franks, and their fries (at a real Nathans, not these little "coves" they open at TCBY and other places) are amazing.
