I don’t know what the social aspects are of young women like this nowadays. In a lot of these photos I have to remind myself that most of them are probably 18 to 23 years old and doing the usual goofing around for the camera that any “kid” would do in college at a sorority or frat house (those togas in Animal House looked pretty gay too!).
There was that TV piece on life on a carrier and it was an eye-opener at the juvenile behaviour of the personnel in their off-hours. Not that it was bad - just kind of forget how young they are when you think of the responsibilies and duties that they have.
You can be banned for using language like that.
I can only imagine how much more *strident* their attitudes are also. No, give me a double helping of this, and I feel shalom all over:

That is how real people with spirit behave. This is the spirit that keeps winning us wars in real combat. A lot of it is just blowing of steam, finding a very necessary psychological release for the boredom and discipline of daily routine. It is only our PC world managed by dull bores that finds something slightly unappealing in all of this.

Really bad salutes. Personally, I cannot believe that these ladies have had much military training, no training, or the training was crap. Noted that the third from the left has a passible salute. Other than that...

I have no clue about their uniform regs. Apparently, if these ladies are in the military, they are not very military.
I served with many fine and brave American women, none would be so sloppy. Who knows?
