“Our everyday experience might itself be a holographic projection of physical processes that take place on a distant, 2D surface.”

That makes my brain hurt :)

I would have to look a bit closer at what is being said here, but it might not be too far off the mark, as far as what our Creator God did, in creating the material universe, in its dimensionality and time components.

It’s clear the the “life” that resides in each person is eternal from what the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob tells us. And yes, He tells us that because of our sin nature (in our life) that we either need to accept the salvation offered by Jesus, the Messiah of Israel and have that eternal life with God, forevermore — or — be separated from Him, in the lake of fire, apart from all the good that God is, suffering in that decision of ours, forevermore after that.

Our “life” may very well be existing in a sort of hologram (loosely used here...) of a sort of “construct” of discrete and indivisible particles, made expressly for our life that God has created.

The Bible does say that at a time in the future, that all this (current universe) will be dissolved, the judgement of God will be dispensed (in Revelation 20, at the Great White Throne judgement) and then a new creation will be made, absent the corruption of sin and death and evil (of our previous existence).

I welcome the new technology, I was so tired of living in a world that was a 50’s 3-D movie.

The glasses bugged.

I read a book about twenty years ago, I think was called The Holographic Universe. It’s not really a theory just an idea. Lot’s of speculation, almost nothing as far as proof goes. Interesting read though.

Read C.S. Lewis’s “Great Divorce”, it’s a real eye opening, we think of the world God lives in with angels as a whispy smoke field world, but in reality, our world is the mere shadow. I found this book to be astounding.

This is really very simple. The world of form (Read: the observable universe) is a projection (Hologram) of the collective ego. It doesn't exist in reality at all. It is just perceived by the ego. Think of it like a lucid dream. You perceive it as real, you perceive yourself as a part of it, but it is just a dream.

At this magnification, the fabric of space-time becomes grainy and is ultimately made of tiny units rather like pixels, but a hundred billion billion times smaller than a proton.

The Vedas described just that without a specific size comparison. Sub-atomic particles and sub-sub-atomic matter.

Our everyday experience might itself be a holographic projection of physical processes that take place on a distant, 2D surface.

Okay, I get it... I'm really just a sticky puddle of quivering sub-atomic particles glommed somewhere onto the 2D surface of the universe's boundary 19 gazillion light years away. I only imagine I exist in this holographic dream world. There's also apparently a one-to-one relationship between what is happening in the immediate vicinity of the quivering puddle and what I think is happening in this dream world.

Bizarre. No, seriously scary stuff because almost anything can happen in the various models of the universe as conceived by physicists the last 20 years or so. Well, not anything, but one of these models is going to turn out to be the right one someday and it's not going to be a nice Einstein-modified, Newtonian universe we've all been hoping for, but some weird, weird, weird, hellacious place.
