I think it’s an excellent idea.

For historical purposes and for the public interest, a book should be published containing the names and testimonies of as many eyewitnesses to the events surrounding Obama’s birth—those who were there back in 1961—as can be found.

A good way to begin the process would be to open a website (with various language options—I don’t know, how about languages such as Dholuo and Kiswahili) where such individuals can post personal accounts of what they remember was happening related to Obama’s birth during that time and in that precise location.

Yes, a book and an NPR documentary about Obama’s early life before his historic presidency. Google could certainly set up the website with the latest technology for multilingual participation with translation.

But these birth narratives are at risk of being lost if something is not done soon.

The historians and Obama’s people owe it to the world to get this started.
