Him and Rourke were classic in Pope of Greenwich Village.
I once read an interview by Eric Roberts that he is a Republican. It was right after Hussein’s win, can’t remember which mag it was but it was something about being a minority in Hollywood and a Bush supporter, something in that context.
Crazy that he is a Republican cause his sister called us Repugnant Reptiles.
Maureen Dowd’s sister of all people, is a hard-core GOP member member so this is not out of the realm of possibility.
I saw the awards show live yesterday on IFC. It’s being re-run on IFC today 4 pm EST. IFC is 550 on Directv. I’m not planning on watching the Oscars, but this show is fairly funny. Everyone seemed drunk or on drugs, lots of swearing, the production numbers came across as parodies of oscar style production numbers, etc. Not fantastic by any means, but not a bad time kill. As I recall, Rourke’s speech was toward the end.
Blackballed? Wasn’t he one of the gangsters in Dark Knight?
Oh, I don’t doubt it, it’s just more funny-crazy than unbelievable. My brother is a raging liberal. Yuck.
