Impressive. A friend of mine went to a jump rope contest on Saturday. The double dutch girls are also pretty amazing. I can barely step over an untied shoelace, which pretty much disqualifies me from any type of competitive jump roping.
Great video! I grew up in NY, where we jumped rope (Double Dutch) all the time. I wasn’t great at it and usually turned, but I had friends who could do entire routines that were sort of like the Rockettes jumping rope.
People would also jump in and do stuff and then jump out. I’m not black, but a lot of black girls were particularly good at this, and they would jump in and do some fantastic routines.
If you only had two people, you could tie one end of the rope to a bannister or railing and one girl would turn and the other girl would jump.

In one of the vids it identifies them as 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from Cinncinati.
