TERRE HAUTE — After more than a week of worry and searching, the body of Gerald Smith, an Indiana State University business student who was set to graduate this weekend, has been found in Knox County in the Wabash River.

The Knox County coroner contacted ISU Police around 7:30 p.m. Friday evening, said Bill Mercier, director of ISU Public Safety.

“He advised me they had a body in the water,” Mercier said. The body matched the physical and clothing description of Smith, he said.

There have been a string of college men found drowned, and a investigators have found grafitti of smiling faces not far from the bodies. This has led to suspicions of a group of serial killers of perhaps a secret death cult at work.

I also immediately thought of the Smiley Face murders. Very strange business. And if the FBI couldn’t do anything about it under Bush, they certainly won’t do anything about it now.

Mercier said there is no way of knowing yet what happened to Smith, who was considered an outstanding student, a leader and had many friends. An autopsy is scheduled for 8 a.m. today at Terre Haute Regional Hospital to be performed by Vigo County Coroner Dr. Roland Kohr, Mercier said.

Here's an update UPDATE: Missing ISU student's death ruled accidential drowning TERRE HAUTE — An autopsy has determined that an Indiana State University student whose body was found in the Wabash River died of an accidental drowning.

A university spokesman says the ruling was made Saturday in the death of 22-year-old Gerald Smith of Avon.

Smith's body was found Friday evening in the river at Vincennes, about 50 miles downstream from the spot near the Terre Haute campus where he was last seen around 1 a.m. on May 1.

Volunteers and others had searched for Smith, who went missing after leaving a near-campus bar where he had been with friends celebrating the completion of a class project.

He had been expected to graduate today.

I've been researching this. Dr. Lee Gilbertson and his team at St. Cloud University has determined that these are murders and the perps are political ideologies.

In essence...this is terrorism meant to send a message to all males: don't go to college unless you are PC.

Terrorism that keeps being ruled accidental isn’t very effective.

Although I’m willing to entertain the idea that at least some of these deaths are murders and perhaps even serial killings.

I need more evidence.

People are not stupid...they know that local police are in a hurry to close these cases and have not been connecting them.

I know for a fact that the students at the campuses and kids that go to the high schools where these guys are from are terrorized and they are telling others about it. It's spreading as the deaths increase.
