It’s about time Mike Judge did something new. Office Space will always be one of my favorite movies. Idiocracy left a lot to be desired though.

What would Al Gore do:

What about what he DOES do:He consumes far more than the average family and has a carbon footprint as big as his ass, which is huge and growing.

Mike Judge is the creator of “Beavis and Butthead”, I believe? It should be good.

But I can’t believe ABC is picking this up! But I’ll watch anyway.

I think it sounds hilarious! If it is as good as his prior work I will be hooked. I will pick up some Brawndo and Flatulin for the Wednesday premier.

From Wiki

-Gerald Goode (Mike Judge) is an administrator at a community college. He comes from a “long line of over-educated academic liberals”.

-Helen Goode (Nancy Walls) is Gerald’s wife, a local activist.

-The Goodes have an adopted son, Ubuntu (David Herman), who is from Africa. They also have a biological daughter named Bliss (Linda Cardellini);[2] she often disagrees with her parents, and sometimes pokes some holes in their world views.

-The family dog, Che, is also vegan: he craves meat and often tries to eat neighborhood animals and pets.

Much as Mr. Judge’s series “King of the Hill” finds humor in the dramas of a working-class Texas family, “Goode” lampoons a liberal Midwestern household. In “Goode,” the characters are often mocked for being green just to fit in with their friends and neighbors. They are a perfect target for the 46-year-old Mr. Judge and his two longtime co-writers, John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky, who have made careers out of finding humor in the follies and pretensions of everyday people.

This is just what is needed to point out the pomposity and self-rightousness of the ever-so-serious urban Liberal. I hope this show holds to its promise.

Have we turned a corner here?

Sounds great from the WSJ back story. Can’t wait for a weekly parody of clueless greenies. Since they cannot understand systems thinking or even simple life cycle costs all that’s left to illustrate their lack of critical thought is to lampoon them and mock them with satire. Perhaps some will finally understand the error of their greenie ways.

I saw this just tonight via ABC.com streaming.
Very funny—the meat-starved dog, liberals feeling guilty
and not sure about what to call blacks, the market scene
(oh no! she forgot her re-usable bag) and how their
“African-American” son happens to be white.

Guess what: so is Teresa Kerry...
