Cincinnati to welcome new conservative talker WQRT (1160) on June 15

The Cincinnati Enquirer’s John Kiesewetter is reporting that WQRT (1160) will feature the new Washington Times morning show (6-9am), Laura Ingraham (9 – noon), Neal Boortz (noon – 2pm), Dave Ramsey (2 -5pm), Dr. Laura (5 -8 pm), Jerry Doyle (8-10pm), Rusty Humphries (10pm – 1am), and Phil Hendrie (1-4am). This is Dr. Laura’s return to the market, since she was dropped at WKRC-AM last year. Jon Yinger-owned WQRT is taking the place of Oldies WDJO at 1160. The group which has been LMAing (Local Marketinbg Agreement) 1160 recently moved its programming to 1480, replacing the former Smooth Jazz WCIN.

And yes, Hendrie is best known as a complete fake. His entire shtick, at least it was in southern California during the late '90s and early mid - 00s, was to base his program on fake characters he made up and then punk on people. It got real tiring real quick.
I think it will drive that area demo nuts.

The Cincinnati talk-radio market needs fresher, hipper voices that are LOCAL, not endless syndicated programming. How about a LOCAL morning drive show? Something to mix things up?
