A Warning From Flyover Country
Gunslinger's Journal ^ | June 16, 2009 | redhead

Yesterday, Glenn Beck read this letter from a woman in Arizona. She writes an open letter to our nation's leadership:

"I'm a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me.

Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you're willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now. You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would horribly feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut job am I? Will you please tell me?

The woman or man who wrote the letter was a long time registered Democrat meaning they were not very bright. Became a short time Repub and are whining. Well people like this helped elect the Obama and McCains of the world. They have no one to blame but themselves.

Dear American Citizen:

You don't matter any more because we won. You also sound like a typical white person who thinks the government should represent mere citizens rather that the collection of minorities which some call special interest groups which put us in power.

Get over it and consider yourself lucky that we haven't implemented a Jizya tax yet.

I was a longtime Democrat, too. But when I came to my senses at last, I didn't need a house to fall on me to see how wrong everything about the Left was. Just because she is "new" as a Conservative doesn't mean she doesn't have the right to talk about what's wrong with what has been unleashed on the US by the current resident and his flying monkeys. She was registered and voted Republican in the last election.

I'll bet she is on the "Fast Learner" track NOW, by golly.

Don't bet the farm on it.

Recall how many incumbents -- from both parties -- were re-elected in 2004, 2006, 2008.

And incumbency is part of the problem. Once they get in, they know it is almost a lifetime appointment.
